DEVASURA

Devas Vs Asuras.
Demon is a well versed word which most of us know. So is Asura. Asuras are the mortal demonic creators who create chaos and disrupt peace with no meaning to it as per the holy books. They just do it for fun because they are always meant to do it.
Whereas the Devas are the immortal gods who come, help the mortal human beings from their misery. In return the humans favour them with their offering. If the humans forget to do their offerings, the Devas would grow angry on them, erupting the natural disasters (Rain, Cyclone, Volcanic Eruption) on them to teach them a lesson for not offering the divine. This anger calamity of Deva's would continue until the offering is made.
Do you find anything odd in this?
Aren’t Devas to be treated as gods who should be helping us without any expectation. But why does the Devas are always expecting something in return for helping us or should I say saving us from the Asuras?
In the mythology Asura’s had better qualities than the Deva’s. To prove the quality of a Deva, it’s better to quote about the Deva King.
Indira the king of the Devas once had come in disguise of a Rishi, to quench his lust over the Rishi’s wife and had slept with the Rishi’s wife with the disguise of the Rishi. The story was later corrected blaming the Rishi’s wife getting seduced by Indira’s charm. Typical, blaming the victim which we can see in the current trend of rape cases. This myth example shows what Deva’s are! And mind it for saving these Devas, Gods have born into this earth where they have waged war against the Asuras killing them to bring back peace and harmony.
On the other hand, Ravana the Asura king has treated Goddess Sitha with dignity and right of women. He never forced her for anything though she was abducted by the Asura king for humiliating his sister Surpanaka by Prince Laxmana. The Prince who cut off Surpanaka’s nose for opening up her wish for the prince.
Asuras have lived in harmony. They haven’t disrupted peace amongst their people. They followed the rules of war, which is the same till date. The conqueror would rule the conquered. Rapes, loots have been the same till date. From west to east the theory of after war remains the same. Even Lord Rama has waged war against the ones who stopped his horse for “The Ashvameda Ritual”. And after winning the Lanka war the city of Lankapuri was burned to ashes by Lord Rama's Vanara (Monkey) army. Mind it, there were innocent people who suffered for the kings deed. So war and conquer rule is nothing new.
My question – Why wasn’t the Deva King punished to death for the adultery crime? Just because he was in the good books of Gods? Or just because he was a Deva?
I have heard it always, Deva’s are meant to rule the sky world. Where as Asura’s are meant to rule the world beneath!! Who has set such a rule?Whenever this rule breaks. The supreme Gods support the Devas and Asuras get killed. This shows lack of equality amongst the Gods.
Asura’s have fallen not because they were weak but because they were disciplined. Without trickery and cheat even the Gods would have failed with Asuras. There is no story of an Asura winning with trickery. But with trickery and deceit every war of the Deva’s are won with the GODS on their side. I would like to quote here a cheap phrase ''Everything is fair in Love and War.'' (only applicable to the Deva’s)
My question – Why does the supreme Gods support the Deva’s no matter how much corrupt the Devas are?
Asura’s are evil no matter how good they are. If it would ease you, the classic example of war to bring peace for the betterment of the people by America would match the quality of the Devas, the quality of always being right no matter what!!
P.S. I am not an atheist, I am a strong believer of theism. I strongly believe in the deity Bhuvaneshwari where my forefathers and mothers would become gods to protect us from the evils. Am a strong believer of Shiva who I believe is the Adiyogi who was born into this world as a human later became a god by his will, who is was and always an Asura God.
Even in holy book they say no one could find a better qualified a person like Ravana - An Asura king.
As a mortal - An Asura,
